Police in Yonkers are looking for a 15-year-old suspect in connection with a deadly shooting in the city last week.
Jamir Thompson allegedly fired the shot that killed 18-year-old Marilyn Montanez on Thursday. Cops believe that Thompson stole a gold chain from another person, leading to a dispute. At some point, Thompson allegedly pulled out a gun and fired a shot that struck Montanez.
Thompson remains on the loose.
“We are considering you armed and dangerous. We are out looking for you as we speak and for the safety of everyone I urge you to turn yourself in,” Police Commissioner Charles Gardner said.
Police are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
