Gym Teacher Fired For Playing“Fortnite”With Students

A gym teacher in Brooklyn, New York is going to court to get his job and reputation back. Brett Belsky was fired when he wrote his gamer handle on the chalkboard, and said he’d play “Fortnite” against them if they “got their grades up.”

Of course, one parent got creeped out by this tactic and started a stink that got the teacher fired. The subsequent investigation revealed that no actual rules were broken. There. Belsky says he basically got nailed on other “manufactured evidence” and now he wants his job back, his teaching license renewed, the allegations erased, back pay, and legal fees.

A spokesperson from the Department of Education said that Belsky was fired for “overall performance,” but they would “review his case.”
