Vishal Lalbeharry of Jamaica Queens was indicted on 17,725 counts for allegedly downloading child porn according to the Queens district attorney.
DA Richard Brown released a statement in the New York Post that reads, The images accumulated by this defendant allegedly contain some of the most horrific ways imaginable to sexually abuse a child-even babies were defiled.
Included with the hundreds of images were 16 videos that showed the suspect engaging in sex with a dog.
The police became aware of the illegal sexual images during an investigation into IP addresses that led them to seize four computer laptops, four cell phones and five hard drives from Lalbeharry's room.
Police records indicate that Lalbeharry told the police that no one else uses his computer but claimed: "while I was downloading regular porn, some images of child pornography were in the files."
Lalbeharry is scheduled back in court on April 22.
