During his annual State of the City address, Mayor Bill de Blasio says working people have done their fair share, but are getting a smaller share of the wealth they create.
“There's plenty of money in this city. It's just in the wrong hands,” de Blasio said.
The mayor said that New Yorkers deserve a city that gives everyone a share of the prosperity that they’ve earned. De Blasio touted his plan to guarantee all New Yorkers health care and his plan to that would make the city the first in the nation to require two weeks of paid time off.
De Blasio also pushed for the legalization of marijuana and promised to expand 3-K to more neighborhoods in the city.
“My fellow New Yorkers, you deserve to live in the fairest big city in America, and that's what we are going to deliver,” de Blasio said.
