A 45-year-old man from Brooklyn, New York ended up calling the cops on a bunch of frat boys over a painful hazing ritual. Tony Gates, who just joined the frat house Omega Psi Phi, ended up in the hospital after being whacked in the behind almost 200 times.
Gates told police the incident occurred while he was drinking “heavily” in an apartment in Bed-Stuy. He says the frat brothers blindfolded him, told him to bend over, and then hit him up to 200 times with a wooden paddle and their hands. He checked himself into Mount Sinai due to the severe bruising he suffered thanks to the hazing… before calling the cops.
But strangely, the apartment where the whole thing allegedly went down was later found boarded up behind a chained-off gate. On the door, a sticker that said “We Black Men Care.” It’s still unclear whether “Omega Psi Phi” is part of a college… and why Gates was pledging to the group.
Police also say they haven’t been able to get in touch with the victim since then.
