Manhattan Fire Injures 9

Nine people have been injured after a fire erupted inside an upper Manhattan apartment building.

Among those hurt are three New York City police officers and two children.  The fire broke out around 2 o’clock on Monday morning on the second floor of the building on 116th Street and Lexington Avenue.

Two children, aged 5 and 16-years-old, both suffered burns.

There’s no word on the cause.
