Charges Dropped Against Woman Who Had Baby Taken Away

A woman seen on video having her baby ripped from her arms by police in Brooklyn has been released from prison.

Charges against Jazmine Headley were dropped on Tuesday by the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office and she left Rikers Island later in the day.

“I'm just happy to be free and I just need to see my boy,” Headley said.

She was taken into custody and had her baby taken from her on Friday while sitting on the floor of a social services office.

Headley will be in court on Wednesday in New Jersey in connection with a credit card fraud case.
