An early morning accident in Cobble Hill Brooklyn left a crew member from the Starz show "Power" dead.
Pedro Jimenez died after a coworker hit him while driving a 2006 ford Explorer. Jimenez was struck while he was setting up parking cones for a shoot on Douglass Street.
Witness Hanna Heldenmuth told the New York Post that the driver, whose name was not released, jumped out of the vehicle and started screaming for help as soon as he saw his co-worker down in the street."He was a mess, Heldenmuth said of the driver. "I was in pain for him. I was literally in tears just listening to this guy screaming." Another witness said Jimenez was unconscious when EMT's arrived on the scene.
Jimenez was rushed to Brooklyn Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.
According to police reports, the NYPD is investigating the accident but they do not suspect any criminality.
