Over two dozen New Jersey Amazon workers are recovering after an aerosol can of bear attack repellent leaked at a distribution warehouse.

Officials say a can was damaged yesterday when it was punctured by machinery, causing it to leak strong fumes in an area of the Robbinsville, NJ facility that was contained.

One worker was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition while twenty-three other workers were taken to the hospital. A total of 54 reported difficulty breathing or other issues. The critical worker is expected to recover.

Amazon confirmed the incident and is investigating how it happened. The bear repellent contained a concentrated amount of capsaicin, an active component of chili peppers.
