Queens Man Robs Four Stores In Three Hours

A string of robberies in which an armed robber stole more than $1,200 and shot a worker in the face!

He acted like a customer until he pulled out his gun at stores in 7-Eleven in Woodside, a Rite-Aid in Astoria, Duane Reade near Roosevelt, and a Rite-Aid in St. Albans in less than three hours according to the NYPD.

"We frequent these stores every day," said Woodside resident Pat Marsh. "To this in this area is horrifying."

The man he shot in the head and in the thumb was a night manager. He is still in critical condition.

Police are looking for the gunman who shot a 49-year-old Duane Reade store manager in the head and thumb at a 24-hour drugstore location in Queens on Monday morning.

A Duane Read spokesman said in a statement, "Our thoughts and prayers are with our team member who was critically injured earlier this morning. We are currently evaluating security measures at this location and will make enhancements to them as necessary when the store reopens."

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
