A 70-year-old driver has been charged after a minivan jumped the curb in a deadly accident in Chinatown.
One person was killed and six others were injured when the vehicle slammed into a group of pedestrians. Two of the injured are said to be in critical condition.
The driver has been identified as Henry Herman. He apparently lost control of the car while trying to park.
He’s facing charges of failure to yield to pedestrians and failure to exercise due care.
