Amazon will reportedly announce on Tuesday that it has selected Long Island City, Queens as one of two spots for its second headquarters.
The Wall Street Journal reports northern Virginia is the other location, with the Internet giant bringing a combined 50,000 jobs to the two spots. It’s possible that Amazon could also create a presence in other cities too.
Governor Andrew Cuomo has reportedly offered Amazon tax incentives to lure them to the state. New York City was one of dozens of cities that were competing for the second headquarters, with Newark, New Jersey also in the running.
It’s unclear exactly where in Long Island City the Amazon headquarters will be built.
