Yesterday more than 300 units in the Armed Forces took part in yesterdays Veterans Day Parade. Marching bands played and flags waved up fifth avenue. It was a special one this year celebrating the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I.

A group also carried a giant American flag that was displayed at the World Trade Center site in the aftermath of 9/11.

The grand marshal of this year's parade was U.S. Army veteran Florent Groberg, who was awarded the Medal of Honor for his service in Afghanistan.
