Security will be incredibly tight in downtown Brooklyn on Monday, as jury selection gets underway in the trial of El Chapo.
The Mexican drug kingpin, whose real name is Joaquin Guzman, is accused of numerous drug crimes and carrying out violent acts against his enemies. He also broke out of prison in Mexico twice.
The jury will be selected from a pool of 1,000 anonymous potential jurors. The jury will then be escorted to the courthouse by federal authorities because of concern for their safety.
