59-year-old Chris Bilcik was sitting in Rays Pizza in Mott Haven, the Bronx enjoying a slice and working on his laptop when a black man came into the restaurant and started yelling anti-white epithets.
Bilcik attempted to move to another table only to have the man follow him and then punch him in the face shattering his eye socket and tearing his retina.
Bilick told NBC 4 that the man walked into the pizzeria yelling "White people are the devils of the world, I hate white people, we should get rid of white people."
The NYPD is investigating the attack as a hate crime and is asking the public for help in identifying the suspect.
Police say the perpetrator is a 5-foot- 10 dark-skinned black man with a close-cropped beard. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap and grey sweatpants.
