Video Shows Employee Pouring Water on Sleeping Homeless Man

A blatant act of cruelty was caught on a surveillance camera mounted in a Syracuse "Dunkin Donuts" over the weekend. The video shows a worker dumping a pitcher of water over a sleeping homeless man.

The unidentified employee is seen in the video taunting the slumbering man, "You going to sleep? How many times I got to tell you to stop sleeping in here…how many times have the customers and the people going to tell you to stop sleeping in here?" the employee said before pouring the water on the sleeping man, soaking him and a cell phone sitting on a nearby table.

Homeless advocates from Syracuse stopped into the store the next morning, reports the New York Post. They asked why the franchise owner would allow his employees to conduct themselves in such a disrespectful manner and were reportedly told by an employee, "We don't think it's right at all."

Then people protested outside of the store, carrying signs that read "Homeless Lives Matter" and "Homeless are Human."

A GoFundMe page has raised over $600 to help the homeless man replace his phone and belongings.
