Noah Syndergaard took the Hill for the Mets in the finale of the three game Miami swing.
Mets got on the board in the first without a hit. Ahmed Rosario walked, stole a base then two fly balls later he scored to make it 1-0 NY.
Starlin Castro tied the game in the bottom of the first with an RBI Single.
Mets got the lead back on a two run blast from Jose Reyes’ bat to make it 3-1 NY.
Bryan Holaday knocked in a run with a single in the bottom of the 4th to make it 3-2, New York
Michael Conforto added another run for the Mets with a solo HR of his own in the top of the 6th, 4-2 NY
Pesky Bryan Holaday added another RBI single and the game was again a one run affair 4-3, NY
Syndergaard with a quality start – 7 innings, 3 runs, 7 K’s and was in line for the win
Robert Gsellman pitched the 8th cleanly
Seth Lugo came on to close the game. He gave up a base hit, but gout a double play ball, allowed one more hit, then a groundout to end it, and earn his first Major League Save, and the Mets had the win heading back to NY, 4-3.
The Mets make a brief detour home, in one way, to take on the Yankees in the rescheduled final game of the Subway Series with Jacob deGrom on the hill before heading back on this extended road trip. First pitch at Yankee Stadium at 7:05PM, Mets on Deck at 6:05.
