The NYPD is investigating after a woman was found dead in the trash compactor of an apartment building in Union Square.
The body of the 48-year-old woman was discovered on Tuesday afternoon inside the Zeckendorf Towers at 1 Irving Place. That’s the building where former Congressman Anthony Weiner lived in before he was sent to prison.
It’s unclear whether the woman’s death was an accident, or if there was foul play involved. An investigation is continuing.
