The town of Teaneck, New Jersey is in mourning after a weekend car accident that killed a father and his four daughters.
Audie Trinidad, 61, his wife Mary Rose and their four daughters were returning from a vacation in Maryland when their vehicle was struck by a pickup truck in Delaware. The truck reportedly crossed a median.
"It's just a tragedy. We can't even believe that such a terrible thing happened," a neighbor of the family told WOR's Alice Stockton-Rossini. "So random, so horrible."
Trinidad was killed, along with 20-year-old Kaitlyn, 17-year-old Danna and 14-year-old twins Allison and Melissa.
"Just a lovely family. What more can you say? I have no adjectives to describe how horrible, how tragic, how terrible, sad everyone is and there's nothing to say," the neighbor said.
Mary Rose survived the crash and remains hospitalized. A memorial continues to grow at her home.
"I hope her faith will help her through and her community will help her through," the neighbor said. "I don't know how one survives such a tragedy."
The driver of the pickup truck, Alvin Hubbard, suffered minor injuries. No charges have been filed.
