Major PATH Train Changes This Weekend

PATH riders' commutes this weekend could be impacted by the closures of two major stations.

There will be no service at the World Trade Center and Exchange Place Stations beginning at 11:59 p.m. on Friday night and continuing until 5 a.m. on Monday. The closures are needed so that Positive Train Control can be installed.

“Once complete, PTC will make your PATH ride safer, faster and more reliable,” the Port Authority said in a letter to riders.

PTC is a federally mandated train technology system that will help prevent accidents.

Work will continue at additional PATH stations in future weekends.
