New Video Shows Moments Before Bronx Teen Dies

There’s shock in the Bronx, after a newly released surveillance video appears to show a teen being kicked out of a bodega before he dies from a stabbing.

Lesandro Guzman-Feliz is seen jumping over the counter of the store on East 183rd Street and Bathgate Avenue, seemingly asking for help.  Someone on the video points to the door and the teen leaves the store.  Guzman-Feliz later died.

"They said 'Get out, get out,'" one man told WOR's Alice Stockton-Rossini.  "They didn't want any trouble."

The murder was a case of mistaken identity.

Seven people have been arrested for the murder.  Kevin Alvarez, 19, is facing several charges, including second degree murder.  Six others are also in custody.  All of the suspects are believed to be part of the Trinitarios gang.

Guzman-Feliz was a member of the NYPD's explorers program and dreamed of becoming a police officer.

"This was a young man who wanted to serve this city and be a part of our police force and had such a bright future," Mayor Bill de Blasio said.

A vigil was held on Monday night.  The parents of Guzman-Feliz called for justice and thanked the public for its support.

A wake is continuing on Tuesday in the Bronx.  A funeral will be held tomorrow.
