The Mets got some needed hitting and Steven Matz kept his resurgence on track as the Amazins' got 4 runs from Michael Conforto, on a three run homer and an RBI single. Matz gave the Mets 6 and 2/3 innings of one run ball before he was lifted in the 7th after giving up 6 hits and with two men on base. Robert Gsellman got out of the jam despite loading the bases.
