Jason Vargas' return didn't go so well. The Mets lefthander was tagged for 9 runs on 9 hits, including two moster Home Runs as the Mets lost the middle game of this three game series 12-2 to the San Diego Padres. Juan Lagares misplayed one ball early but made up for that with a spectacular catch to rob a home run later in the game. Yoenis Cespedes looks more and more like he's hitting his stride as he hit a two run home run of his own, one of the few bright spots in an otherwise dismal night. Mets will look to win the rubber game on Sunday before flying back home, first pitch 4:10, Mets on Deck at 3:05.
