Mets relief pitcher Paul Sewald says Matt Harvey is talking to his teammates, even if he’s not talking to the media.
Harvey refused to speak to reporters on Wednesday after he was demoted to the bullpen.
“It’s been a big change for him. I completely understand. I know it’s been a difficult change for him but as far as his teammates, everything is great. Matt’s had a pretty good attitude,” Sewald said.
He said Harvey has been joking with teammates and hopes to build on a solid outing out of the bullpen earlier this week.
“Matt’s had some tough days where he has answered the questions,” Sewald said.
