Jacob de Grom was spectacular, but he wouldn't be involved with the outcome, striking out 10 in 7 innings of 4 hit ball, he didn't give up a hit until the fifth inning. Asdrubal Cabrera had a two RBI Single and Jay Bruce knocked in another in the top of the 8th to give the Mets a 3-0 lead. AJ Ramos walked two of the first three batters he faced and Jerry Blevins came on to face Freddie Freeman who knocked the first pitch off the wall for a two RBI double, and it was 3-2 NY with just one out. Blevins got one more out and Jeruys Familia was called on for a four out save. He struck out Preston Tucker to end the 8th. The 9th wasn't so easy. He walked Dansby Swanson, the leadoff hitter, then Johan Camargo hit a seeing eye triple that plated Swanson and left Camargo at third with no one out. Finally, Endar Inciarte's squeeze bunt plated Camargo and the Braves had a 4-3 comeback victory over the Mets. Mets will look to split the series on Sunday, Mets on Deck at 12:30, first pitch 1:35.
