Noah Syndergaard got the start tonight but it wasn’t the fire balling right hander we were accustomed to as he worked his way through 6 innings of three run ball while striking out six.

Mets had a 3-1 lead in the 5th, when Jay Bruce misplayed a ball that turned into an RBI double and closed the gap to 3-2. Kurt Suzuki tied the game in the 6th on a sac fly.

Neither team scored through 9, so they were off to extra innings.

Mets threatened in the top of the 11th when two men got on with no outs, but the Mets couldn’t get them home.

Braves got two men on with two out in the Bottom of the 11th with a chance to win, but Robert Gsellman K’d Preston Tucker to end the threat.

In the 12th, Gselleman was hit by a pitch, moved to second and Yoenis Cespedes brought him home with a single. Asdrubal Cabrera doubled in another run, but was called out after slipping rounding second, but the Mets had the lead.

Jeurys Familia came on for the save, his 8th of the season.
