The Mets are 2-0! Another satisfying victory saw the Mets win 6-2 over the Cardinals, and get their first Home Run off the bat of Travis D’Arnaud. Yoenis Cespedes added a long ball of his own and Jacob deGrom pitched a gem starting right where he left off last season as the Mets best hurler, as he struck out 7 in 5.2 innings. Todd Frazier dodged a bullet when he was hit by a pitch on the hand but remained in the game afterwards. The Mets did have one injury scare in the form of Anthony Swarzak who left the game with oblique pain, but Mickey Callaway was not overly concerned after the game. The Mets look to sweep the opening series tomorrow afternoon at 1pm.
