New Yorkers can’t wait to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.
The annual parade will step off on Saturday morning on Fifth Avenue at 11 o’clock. Marchers will travel between 44th Street and 79th Street. Loretta Brennan Glucksman will serve as the Grand Marshal.
“A lot of kids come out, good people that are Irish, they come out all in green. It’s a good day,” a New Yorker told WOR’s Alice Stockton-Rossini.
Jack Doyle’s in Midtown will be one of the places where people will gather on Saturday. A bartender says last year, one customer even had a side business going on inside the establishment.
“He was selling his own shots of Jameson in the bar for $3,” a bartender said. “I escorted him out but he’s definitely an entrepreneur. He has a big future.”
