It will feel a lot like Spring on Wednesday.
Despite the calendar showing February, the high temperature is expected to reach the low 70’s. That would surpass the previous record high temperature of 68 set on this date.
“It’s warm, comfortable, we’re not freezing, my hands aren’t swelling up,” one man told WOR’s Alice Stockton Rossini.
The warm weather won’t stick around though. Temperatures will drop back into the 40’s on Thursday as rain showers move in. It will remain in the 40’s and 50’s through the weekend.
“I’m hoping Winter’s gone - Spring is here - let’s enjoy it,” one woman said.
The warm weather comes just days after snow fell on much of the tri-state area.
“This weather was being kind of iffy for the past few weeks. One day it’s hot. One day it’s cold so I just wanted to be safe,” one man said.
