Barry Lubin, aka "Grandma the Clown" has resigned from the Big Apple Circus after he admitted taking nude photos of a minor. Lubin confessed that in 2004 he asked a 16-year-old female acrobat to come to his trailer where he coaxed her into taking pornographic photos.
Zubin paid the 16-year-old 100 dollars and asked her to return for another photo session.
The 16-year-old reported the incident to the police in 2012, after the statute of limitations had expired.
The victim contacted the owners of the circus last year after seeing an advertisement announcing the return of "Grandma the Clown."
The owner of The Big Apple Circus took immediate action and reported the incident to the authorities.
Barry Lubin had performed as "Grandma the Clown" for 25 years.
