Andy Byford led his first MTA committee meeting Monday. The new NYC Transit President says he will release a "comprehensive corporate plan" within the next few months that will address the poor conditions of the subway and bus lines in NYC.
Mr. Byford, whose resume includes stints with the Toronto Subway system as well as the London Underground, told the crowd of spectators and dignitaries "I do not intend to disappoint."
Mr. Byford's leadership role starts as the MTA suffers a record high in subway delays and the worse bus ridership losses in decades.
