"Len Berman in the Morning" Celebrates Two Award-Winning Staff Members

“Len Berman in the Morning” and WOR were well-represented yesterday at our annual iHeart Media NYC awards presentation, taking home two key trophies!

WOR Morning News Editor Terry Trahim took home the “Unsung Hero” award.  Listeners to Joe Bartlett’s morning newscasts may not realize that Terry is truly the engine that helps drive them.  In addition to helping Joe write and gather sound for the casts, he's the one constantly keeping an eye for breaking news stories and helping get them on the air promptly.  He works very closely with Len Berman on his daily sports report, and leads the charge in gathering information to share with our listeners during the all-too-frequent winter storms.

In the fifteen months he’s been at WOR, Ray Martel, Associate Producer of “Len Berman in the Morning,” has fast become a superstar at the station.  Yesterday, iHeart senior management recognized this fact by awarding him the annual “Rising Star” award.  Ray is the invaluable right hand man to Executive Producer Natalie Vacca, helping to find stories, and gather sound bites. He's also the guy responsible for much of the show's online and social media presence, sending out social media updates throughout the day.

All of us at “Len Berman in the Morning,” WOR, and iHeart Media’s New York City station group congratulate Terry and Ray on these well-deserved awards!
