The first snowfall is expected to fall on New York City and the surrounding areas this weekend.
There will be periods of snow beginning Saturday afternoon and continuing into the night. Three to five inches of snow is expected, with more possible on the higher east end. There will be less west and north.
A Winter Weather Advisory will be in effect from 6 a.m. on Saturday until early Sunday morning.
Temperatures will be in the mid 30’s on Saturday and remain chilly for the rest of the weekend.
