After 4 months of boycotting Dunkin Donuts, the NYPD finally received a written apology from company executive Robert Wiggins.
The dispute between the cops and the popular coffee chain started on July 30 of this year when a worker inside a Brooklyn store said "I don't serve cops" and refused to serve two NYPD detectives.
The apology from Wiggins stated that "Dunkin Donuts and its franchises deeply value the public service that police officers and detectives provide to the neighborhoods we serve, especially in the NYC area."
Michael Palladino, President of the Detectives Endowment Association accepted the apology and lifted the boycott.
