Freezing temperatures are moving into the tri-state area on Friday.
Temperatures are dropping into the 30’s with wind gusts up to 35 mph. On Friday night there will be near record low temperatures, with some areas reaching the upper teens.
The record low for Central Park on this date is 27 degrees, set in 1914. A freeze warning is in effect from 6 p.m. on Friday night until 8 a.m. on Saturday morning.
The high temperatures will be near 40 on Saturday, before being slightly warmer on Sunday with temperatures in the mid to upper 40s.
