It’s a big day for deliberations at the corruption trial of Senator Bob Menendez.
If the jury doesn’t reach a verdict on Thursday, they’ll have to start all over again on Monday. That’s because the judge is allowing a juror to leave for vacation and an alternate will be brought in.
Menendez said he’s not worried about the deliberations.
“I have every expectation - that based upon all of the facts that have been presented at this trial - if they listen to the law and the facts I’m convinced we will be exonerated,” Menendez said.
If Menendez is convicted he will be removed from the Senate. The governor of New Jersey would choose a replacement.
