Halloween Parade Goes On Despite Attack

People dressed in Halloween costumes gathered in the Village on Tuesday night for the annual parade, despite the terror attack earlier in the day.

It was a show of resilience, after a truck slammed into a group of people in Lower Manhattan, killing eight people and injuring a dozen more.  Many said they couldn’t be scared away.

While urging people to remain vigilant, Mayor Bill de Blasio said New Yorkers shouldn’t live in fear.  He encouraged people to continue living their lives as they normally would.
