Dr. Pamela Buchbinder has been indicted for allegedly persuading her mentally ill cousin Jacob Nolan into stabbing and beating her child's father in 2012.
The doctor and the child's father had been arguing over visitation rights for nearly 6 years. While the couple tried working out their family issues, Dr. Buchbinder demanded that her estranged boyfriend name her as the beneficiary on his 1.5 million dollar life insurance policy. 3 days after changing the policy, the child's father was stabbed and nearly beaten to death with a sledgehammer by Buchbinders cousin.
Video evidence shows Buckbinder and her cousin purchasing a sledgehammer the night before the assault.
The cousin was sentenced to 9 years behind bars for his part of the attack. Dr. Buchbinder is awaiting trial.
