Mayor Bill de Blasio and the candidates looking to replace him will square off in the first debate on Tuesday night.
De Blasio will share the stage with Republican Nicole Malliotakis and Independent candidate Bo Dietl. A recent poll from Quinnipiac University showed the mayor received support from 61 percent of likely city voters. Malliotakis received 17 percent in the poll and 8 percent said they support Dietl.
In New Jersey, Democrat Phil Murphy and Republican Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno will participate in their first debate on Tuesday night. Polls show Murphy with a big lead in the race.
