Saving the Earth will be a lot easier come the year 2020. That's the year NYC will implement single stream recycling.
Single stream recycling translates to "no more sorting of bottles, cans, cardboard, etc." Everything that can be recycled will be put in one container.
Mayor de Blasio's office hopes the single stream program will increase the city's recycling rate and help limit the global warming rate.
According to the latest data, the United States is second to China in carbon emissions.
