DOT Fails To Enforce 2012 Bus Rating Law

Two weeks after a deadly bus crash claimed 3 people's lives, Senator Chuck Schumer held a press conference to inquire why a law that was passed in 2012 has yet to be enforced.

The law states that private bus companies must post and display letter grades on the windshields of their buses to inform riders of the safety record of the company.

Senator Schumer blames the DOT for not following through on the 2012 law.

The deadly accident two weeks ago was caused after a Dahlia Travel and Tour bus blew through a red light and plowed into an MTA bus.
