Raul Russi, Acacia Network - Puerto Rico “Is A Long Term Problem"

The CEO of a group raising money for Puerto Rico says “it’s going to take a long time” before the island will fully recover from Hurricane Maria.

Raul Russi, the CEO of Acacia Network, told WOR’s “Len Berman and Todd Schnitt in the Morning” it’s important for people to donate money, because they can’t ship supplies at this point.

“We have tried every possible scenario that’s out there,” Russi said.

Russi said they have a shipment of more than 100 generators ready to go, but they can’t get them to Puerto Rico.  He said he’s tried contacting the governor’s office and has even reached out to businessman Mark Cuban, but hasn’t had success.

“This is a long term problem and when the airports really open we want to try to get as much help down there,” Russi said.

He’s encouraging people to donate at donatepuertorico.com/donate-today/
