Citi Bike Seeks Financial Break from NYC

Citi Bike has asked NYC for public funds to assist in their expanding reach throughout the 5 boroughs.

The company says it doesn't have enough delivery vehicle capacity to ensure that the 5 new stations will be fully stocked with bikes by the end of next week.

Citi Bike also asked NYC to stop charging them for lost parking meter income at their bike renting station. This request was also denied by the local government.

Citi Bike will continue with their expansion plans and hopes to reach an equitable situation with NYC.
