Mets drop both games of a double header to the Astros

The Mets and Astros played a double header Saturday at Minute Maid Park in Houston, which were the first games played in the area since Hurricane Harvey devastated the region.

In game one, Matt Harvey took the mound for the Mets in his first game back from the disabled list. It did not go well for Harvey as he allowed 7 earned runs in just 2 innings of work. The Mets ended up losing the game 12-8. Wilmer Flores had a grand slam to make the game close in the 7th inning.

Game two was a lower scoring affair with the same outcome. The Mets struck first with Dom Smith doubling in the 6th inning to put them up 1-0. However in the bottom of the inning the Astros strung together 4 runs and that's all they would need to win.

The Mets and Astros will finish out the series tomorrow afternoon at 2:10. Coverage on WOR begins at 1:05 with 'Mets On Deck'
