A distraught 33-year-old man walked through a building construction site, took the elevator to the top floor of the unfinished building, and threw himself to his death early this morning.
Witnesses say the man took a few photographs of himself when he reached the top floor and then just jumped.
The construction site is on West 28th Street near 6th Avenue in Chelsea.
EMT's rushed the man to Bellevue Hospital where he died a short time later.
Work on the site was stopped while the police conduct an investigation.
