A contraband smuggling plot carried out by three correction officers at the Queens Detention Facility has led to conspiracy and bribery charges.
Shawn Pedigrew, Shaquan Williams, and Jabar Allen have been accused of supplying inmates with marijuana, tobacco, alcohol, and cell phones, in exchange for hundreds of dollars.
Officials arrested Mr. Williams and Mr. Allen this morning, Mr. Pettigrew was arrested last night.
A Federal spokesman said the correction officers have abused the power entrusted to them by smuggling contraband to inmates housed at the jail.
