Trump: Feels Good To Be Home

President Trump spent his first night at Trump Tower since taking office.

“Feels good to be home after seven months, but the White House is very special, there is no place like it… and the U.S. is really my home!” Trump tweeted.

Trump returned to New York City on Monday night where he was greeted by thousands of protesters.  They held signs, chanted and criticized the president for not condemning white supremacists groups immediately after the car attack in Charlottesville, Virginia that killed one person and injured 19 others.

Trump issued a stronger message on Monday, speaking out specifically against white supremacist groups.

“Racism is evil and those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including the KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans,” Trump said.

The NYPD set up barricades and ordered street closures even before the president’s arrival in the city.  Mayor Bill de Blasio has urged New Yorkers to avoid Midtown near Trump Tower if they can.

President Trump will be in New York City until Wednesday.
