A mother and three children were injured Tuesday morning when a large tree fell on them in Central Park.
The mother was pushing two kids in a stroller and was holding a third when the tree came crashing down in the area of Central Park West and 62nd Street. Witnesses raced to help lift tree branches off the victims.
Those on scene said the mother briefly lost consciousness, while the children were heard crying. The FDNY said all four victims were brought to a local hospital.
The NYPD closed West Drive at 62nd Street o vehicles, pedestrians and bicycles as a result.
