The Mets teed off of the Phillies tonight belting four home runs en route to a 10-0 win.
Jacob deGrom got the win scattering four hits and striking out nine over six and two thirds scoreless innings. He left the game as a precaution after taking a come-backer off his right triceps muscle.
Wilmer Flores kicked things off with a first inning 3-run home run, Neil Walker followed with a solo blast in the third, then Michael Conforto busted the game open with a 3-run blast in the top of the seventh. Curtis Granderson hit his sixteenth home run of the season, a two run shot, which put the Mets up 9-0.
Seth Lugo will start the second game of four on Friday evening. Coverage on WOR begins at 6:05 pm with Pete McCarthy & 'Mets on Deck'.
