LISTEN: Flexen's 1st Win; Ramos' 1st Mets Save; Mets Win 5-4

The Mets held off a late rally from the Rangers to walk away with a 5-4 win tonight snapping a four game losing streak.

Chris Flexen picked up his first major league hit, and his first major league win as he went five and two thirds allowing just three runs on four hits while striking out four and walking three. He doubled to lead off the bottom of the fifth inning.

AJ Ramos picked up his first save since being traded to the Mets in late July. He did allow a home run, but struck out two in the ninth inning.

Offensively for the Mets Michael Conforto and Yoenis Cespedes both hit first inning home runs and Travis d'Arnuad roped a two run homer in the second to give the Mets a quick 4-0 lead. They would add a run in the seventh when Asdrubal Cabrera doubled down the line which plated Conforto.

The Mets will play the final game of this quick two-game set on Wednesday afternoon at 12:10 pm; Coverage on WOR begins at 11:05 am with Pete McCarthy & 'Mets on Deck'.
